The dinner aims to raise the industry’s awareness that environmental protection and safety are the two pillars of sustainable development in the construction industry, and that we must integrate the concept of “sustainable development” into our business to help achieve the “Carbon Neutrality 2050” and to create a “Zero-accident Site”.
During the dinner, Councillor Lo Wai Kwok of the Legislative Council Engineering Functional Constituency talked about construction projects in Hong Kong in next few years and to let the audience understand the future development of the construction industry. Ir. Thomas Ho, Chairman of the Construction Industry Council (CIC), shared CIC’s efforts in promoting environmental protection and site safety and reiterated the importance of two values in the future of the construction industry and the community. Mr. Kenji Wong, Operations Director of Champway Technology Limited, introduced the latest development of biodiesel in Hong Kong. Finally, Mr. Gerald Lau, Vice President (Sales & Marketing) of AP Rentals Holdings Limited, delivered the closing address to thank to all guests. Mr. Thomas Lau, Chairman and CEO of AP Rentals Holdings Limited, said at the dinner that Hong Kong’s construction industry is about to enter a golden decade, and the future of the industry is full of opportunities. As the saying goes, “Actions Speak Louder Than Words“, it is now time for us to promote environmental protection and construction site safety, and to achieve the “sustainable development in construction industry”.
Once again, we would like to thank all the speakers, industry experts and guests for their participation and contribution to this dinner. We hope that the guests will gain insights and start practising sustainable development in the construction industry, so that we can create a green society and build a better home together.
